Different Veto Styles

On Challengermode, we provide three different veto styles that you can use for your CS 2 tournament - each with their own pros and cons.

We've listed the Veto process of each Veto type below, so you can figure out what the best fit for your tournament is!

The below examples are based on you having seven (7) maps available in the map pool, the process changes if you have fewer maps available.

We recommend always having an uneven number of maps in the map pool for the best veto experience.

Do note that Best of 2 is not supported in Elimination brackets (Single or Double).

Challengermode with side pick

Do note that Best of 2 is not supported in Elimination brackets (Single or Double).

The side pick in the final game of a match is always decided by a knife round. Because of that, side pick doesn't apply to best of 1

Valve Veto Style

The Valve Veto style is based on this document. Please see the link for more details!

The veto process always starts with Team 1 deciding what team starts the Veto Process. In the table below, the team that Team 1 chooses to start, will be called Team 1 after the first row.

This Veto style only works for Bo3 and Bo1 configurations.
