Quite often high ping or lag will be due to a temporary network problem related to the routing of network traffic between you > your internet provider > our server provider. In other words, it's the Internet being the Internet - and it probably won't happen again.
Also, make sure you have picked a server location that's close to you. If there are no server locations close enough to where you live, write to us and we will try to open up more server locations!
If you are playing on a server that is located far from your location, you will, unfortunately, experience higher ping.
If you're experiencing FPS drops there are a few things you can try:
- If you started the game via the launch button, try to connect to the server by using the IP address instead. If that doesn't work, try to tab out/in of the game.
- In Windows 10, follow this guide to disable Xbox DVR in Windows 10. Users experiencing low FPS or FPS loss after upgrading to Windows 10 may resolve the issue by disabling the Xbox DVR feature.
- If you are still experiencing low FPS or other problems. Please send us a print screen with console command "net_graph 1" enabled.
