The "Free agent" is a feature that allows solo players or teams with incomplete line-ups to sign up to team tournaments.

By signing up and opting in to use the Free agent system. You will be matched together with other players or teams currently looking for additional players for that specific tournament, whether it's other solo players or other teams with incomplete line-ups.

To sign up with the Free agent feature simply click Join Tournament, as usual.

The team you get matched with is the team you get, make sure you are alright with this before signing up with Free agent as signing up then bailing on your team is not alright.

After clicking Join Tournament, you will be able to choose whether you want to sign up Solo, with a Party or with a Team.

They all work with Matchmaking, so if you're in a Party or a Team, you can continue by choosing these options, for the sake of this article, I am playing solo, and will sign up Solo.

To sign up Solo with the Free agent feature you then continue by clicking
Match Me.

You are now signed up!

What happens now?

Confirm Participation

As with any other tournament, you will have to Confirm Participation, the check-in period usually starts 45-60 minutes before the actual tournament starts.

You can click the Confirm Participation button when it's available, it will become turquoise and clickable during the Check-in period.

Wait for the tournament to start

After you have confirmed your participation, all you need to do is sit back and wait.

Just as the tournament is about to start, we will attempt to put you in a team with other players who signed up with the Free agent feature.

When the tournament starts you will either be seeded together with your newly made team or, if there are not enough players signed up with the Free agent feature, you will not be seeded into the tournament.
