Summary

To create a successfully converting coaching listing on the Challengermode Marketplace, make sure to answer the following questions in as much detail as possible on your listing:

  • Who are you?
  • What are you offering?
  • How is the coaching delivered?
  • When are you available to coach?

Read on to find some general advice as well as detailed information on how to best answer the questions above.

General Advice

Picture

Your picture is the first thing users see when visiting the Marketplace. Make sure to provide as specific information as needed while keeping it clean and visually appealing. If you offer coaching to become a better Jungler in League of Legends, try visualizing these using graphics related to your topic. If you struggle with creating your own image, check out the "Graphics & Design" category on the marketplace. Here you can find professional graphic designers to create a unique listing image for your marketplace presence. Your image should be at least 1280x720.

Pricing

We believe that a good quality service deserves an appropriate payment. Please do not charge less than 5€ for your coaching services. Too low prices signal bad quality to potential buyers so keep that in mind when calculating your prices.

Structure

Structure your listing logically to make the information easily accessible to your potential customer. You should use sections and paragraphs and preferably break your listing down into the 4 below-mentioned sections.

Grammar & Spelling

To convince your potential buyers of the professional services you're offering, correct spelling and grammar is the bread and butter of your listing. Use simple and free tools like Grammarly to help you write better descriptions, free of sneaky grammar mistakes.

Who

The first step to convincing potential customers that you are their best choice is to introduce yourself. The more of the following you can provide, the easier it is for the customer to know whether you are a good fit for them.

  • Personal details
What's your real name? How old are you?
  • Relevant experience
How long have you been a gamer for? Have you coached players before? What were your biggest achievements in gaming (e.g. competed in League of Legends World Championship 2017, peaked Grandmaster in Season 6)? What experience do you have in the game you're offering coaching for?
  • Motivation
Why do you want to coach other players? What do you enjoy most about coaching?

What

Describing what you're offering is key to making potential customers understand what they're signing up and paying for. This is your chance to convince your customers that what you offer is the best deal out there and covers what they are hoping to achieve.

Examples of how to describe what you offer:

  • The role of the support champion in LoL
  • Positioning the AWP player on all aim_maps
  • Picks and counter picks for Super Smash Bros
  • Where to aim your grenades in CS 2

Try to be as specific as possible. The more detail you provide, the more likely the buyer will be convinced that your coaching services are extensive and cover everything he/she would like to learn more about.

How

Help your potential customer understand how the service is delivered so they understand how the coaching actually works. Remember: While you may have coached in the past, not everyone has taken coaching before and knows how it works.

Examples of how coaching can be performed:

  • VoD review: We will go over two recordings of your gameplay and analyze everything from major mistakes to minor details that can help you improve.
  • Live coaching: I will spectate your game via screen sharing on Discord in order to give you immediate feedback on your mistakes and what you can improve so that you can use the input right away.

When

To manage expectations and prevent cancellations, indicate your time zone and tentative times when you'd be available to provide coaching. This way, you ensure that the buyer can compare your availability to their schedule and increase the likelihood of you finding a time that fits all parties.

Example availability:

  • Monday - Friday: 18:00 - 22:00 CET
  • Saturday - Sunday: 08:00 - 22:00 CET
